Er, not unless you want to... I was just using it as an example of a good long-term strategy for the guild to follow. It may prevent collapse from occuring later. Again, I've seen it happen to many good guilds in the past and would really hate it if the same thing goes wrong here. Hmm, of course, this might not ever happen...depends on a combination of GW2s future player base, how often the guild hosts events (random or otherwise), and some...unknown variable? I've neither tried, nor seen anyone try this idea before, though, so I'm mostly just throwing ideas out there in my caffiene fueled delirium Also, again, true organization is going to have to wait for a larger member pool. I really don't know if Jaded is going to ever reach that point...Recruitment could very well drop off way before then. Maybe...maybe you guys could set up a small Guilding coalition, as a different approach, like seperate guilds with one leader, a set of co-leaders underneath and each guild serving a different purpose. I believe some people may have used that idea before... Sleep is for the weak. Go do the jumping puzzle. Oh...jumping...puzzle...NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Hey peeps, new to da forum here and have not explored as much yet. Do we, and if not I think it's great to post a calender of events as jaded moves forward. This provides something concrete for those ships passing in the night to preview and make time for. I've only had the game for almost 2 weeks now, spend as much time as real life allows and would hate to miss out on events that: 1) helps the guild's influence 2) helps me progress to areas, maps etc. 3) get to know my guildmates and have a great game experience. I have many ideas for guild events and such and as time goes by and I familiarize myself with GW2, I would love to share... Ty again for your time, pete

Thanks for the feedback. Side note, I apparently missed a couple of the permissions when creating boards, and there were a few instances in which guests could post. That has been rectified.

We need a commander for WvW. It will do wonders for recruitment of players and our own standing in the server. I am willing to put money to this end.
This is preferably someone willing to recurit but importantly someone who can think tactically in both WvW and pvE. That commander title should be displayed for any zerg in either setting. Its an advertisement to the server: "We're not just sending out rando invites; we know what we're doing."
With one (or two if it works as expected) we can pick and choose from candidates.
I don't gamble for religious reasons. Sorry, I will not participate in a lottery. But what money I can give is the guilds. I make most of mine running with ya'll anyway. I figure its owed.

Well I cannot specifically state any one to "Vote" for or appoint as our guild commander but i do know that many of us, bllades included, are going for our commander titles and depending on the market I have a feeling Jaded should be getting a few commanders fairly shortly. Just don't follow any of them off a cliff when they say jump.

I'm going to put in my 10 cents so that we can all look at this from an over-all perspective, and i'm sure you guys have already thought about this but i'm going to just give a friendly reminder, and put it on paper.
- Jaded has taken a larger step into the WvW community by accepting to be a part of an alliance, this alliance has many commanders. And they will expect us to take it seriously if they are to dedicate their time and effort.
-Jaded being fairly small (quality over quantity, i'd put our best against an entire zerg any day, yesterday was proof of that) compared to some of these other ones, is it necessary for us to have multiple commanders? Are you willing to commit a couple of hundred gold to a tag that you may have to keep turned off for organizational purposes, if multiple people in this guild ALL go for the commanders tag?
If so there's nothing wrong with that, again i'm just giving points to think about.
- Chances are Jaded members are going to be treated like a squad, why would we need multiple commanders in the same squad?
Like yesterday, chances are guilds will be treated like individual squads. We work best with people we're comfortable with, its a rule of life. With that being said chances are we will burn, pillage and own together when we fight in WvW. Jaded Special Forces as me and General say, was only a half joke.
- Commander tags attract zergs, and when you're trying to organize an internal guild strategy, that can be a real problem. Going in and out between typing and talking will end up tiring out a commander very quickly. Unless we absorb those pugs into the guild via seperate WvW Jaded guild, or have them represent us during WvW, we should be careful about how many blue diamonds we have up at one time.
- Pugs don't listen Sigma or Acium could be screaming all day long for pugs to stack on them, because they're leading the zerg, but chances are many wont listen and will go to w/e pretty blue diamond is the closest. Keeping our blue diamonds to a minimum would really help reduce the chaos.
Just things to think about. In the end its your money and your call, but perhaps this may be a decision the entire guild should make? After all, we're in this together.
This isn't my guild, i'm not trying to steal anyones thunder and I respect whatever decision the guild leaders make. I Just want to make sure that no one feels shafted, and that we're all on the same page.
- Bllades

I agree with everything you just said, Bllades. The Diamond is a zerg magnet, but that has it's pros and cons. I especially agree with the quality over quantity statement. We sieged DB out of the northern EB keep while outnumbered 3 to 1. It was awesome. Honestly, I like spending gold too much. If I ever have 200g (my estimated Scale returns), I'd likely enjoy dropping half of it for a blue square

What an awesome run in WvW last night! Gonna post my screen of that shortly Shira, V, and Rae led a beautiful take on that keep and I'm always completely impressed when we can take something that looks impossible especially when we were outnumbered. Awesome! @mel: Very generous of you and thank you for offering your own funds to support a WvW commander in Jaded. Attention on WvW continues to expand in Jaded, as you've probably noticed, and I predict commander title(s) are incoming soon. bllades: It's important that we fully support and back any Jadite who would like the commander title over there head. Yes, it's a lot of coin. If that Jadite has passion, skill, and a drive to lead us through WvW battling the enemy, that Jadite has my full support and my weapons! It's also important to consider that if only one or two Jadites have a commander title, what happens when those Jadites are sleeping/working/traveling? If the titles within Jaded are managed properly and communication remains open, we won't experience any of the issues presented above except for Pugs. And Pugs, in my opinion, are nothing to worry about when making the decision to get a commander title. Most pugs will follow those who LEAD and without obvious leadership, they'll move on. That's just my .02

I would hate to see someone get upset because they had to turn their commander tag off. Keep in mind this is no longer just us, we are now part of a 12 guild alliance who also have many commanders titles and are going to think the exact same things that I just mentioned above. In the end, its not our decision alone who uses their commander titles, but the entire alliance collectively. Let's not forget that. It's no longer just us. It's not about the pugs following or not. It's about them following the WRONG COMMANDER. If were in a vent together working out a strategy in a keep, the last thing in the world we need is some pug getting on our trebuchet to farm deer off in the distance. Dont believe that happens? Ask General.

Edit (post above edited)
Good point, it's no longer just us.
As you said, we're part of a twelve guild alliance with who knows how many numbers of players who we'll be fighting next to, when the time comes. I would hope that when we do combine forces and a commander is asked to toggle off his/her title, that they understand it's to be helpful in focusing on the goal(s) being accomplished.
I still feel that worrying about pugs is pretty low on the list of priorities. If commanders were to always worry about the pug on the trebuchet shooting at the deer, less would get accomplished, imo.
