Personally, I like the hammer. It's #1 chain might be slow, but it creates an awesome field that gives protection and can be used to splash retaliation to nearby allies. Works really well if you spec into making symbols larger and heal allies. I also like the ring of warding because you can use it as a prison if you wanted to; trap someone in there and run out And come on! Who doesn't like launching enemies!? I quit using it for a while to try some different things but I was planning on going back to it soon.

\o/ I actually started writing it up this morning! After our chat last night, I've decided to equip Superior Rune of the Monk x2, Superior Rune of the Water x2, and the last two runes will either be: Major Rune of the Monk x2 or Major Rune of Sanctuary x2 or Superior Rune of the Earth x2. Being able to increase boon duration and protection will hopefully improve my survivability as well as my group. I'll probably finish it up later tonight or tomorrow morning and get it on here Cheers!

Sounds good to me, Gen! It was hard to tell the affects of this change last night during our dungeon runs because there were 3 guardians hehe I think we counted around 25 stacks of might on Shira at one point, correct me if I'm wrong please. I definitely think it's a worthwhile change for focusing on group support. Protection duration would be a viable option as well.

My main focus lately has been how I can provide more significant amounts of support when we’re grouping for dungeons. I started looking at my build after our guild run to Giganticus in Arah. GS & Mace/Focus:This is my current support build in PvE as I do enjoy the damage and feel of the greatsword and the healing from mace/focus. I’m running in full exotic Cleric’s. gw2skills.net/editor/?fUEQNAR5dlYgiCnFSPEf4ERWhVi9AjwfjXPooCZIA;TkAquMeJ8yujrL5OrNGFsbARunes: Superior Rune of the Monk x2 15% boon duration Superior Rune of the Water x2 15% boon duration Major Rune of the Monk x2 10% boon duration GW2 builders don’t have the Major Runes so I threw in Earth runes as I’m still thinking about using them at some point. I do swap to Mace/Focus in PvE more often than a complete ranged option as it’s my personal choice for healing. I do still carry every weapon on me in case the situation calls for a more ranged approach. Yes, I still want to love the staff! Hammer & Mace/Focus:I was thinking about going to Hammer & Mace/Focus for the consistent protection using the same trait build above. Hammer is a great weapon choice for supporting a group mostly because of the 3rd chain in the first skill which lays down a symbol of protection that lasts 2s/3pulses (auto-attack). The Inspired Virtue trait(virtues line) along with skills/utilities that provide protection caught my attention. The potential to keep protection up during a lengthy battle is something that could be worthwhile. The con to using hammer is that it's rather slow getting to that protection symbol and the damage isn't noteworthy in this support build. It’s definitely all about the protection. Scepter/Torch & Mace/Shield:The last time we were in WvW and I ran Shira’s trait build here: en.gw2codex.com/build/18955-guardian-build-v-2 and I loved it! The damage along with immobilizing from the scepter and the interrupt of the shield had me grinning all night! The company I was keeping definitely played a huge part in the grin factor too So here’s a pvp build I’d like to try and I wanted to get everybody’s thoughts on it. gw2skills.net/editor/?fUEQRArf5elUgKCHHSPEmYFSWBD06BBhQ+TVh4BrQFdVwhA;TwAA2CmoQywlgLbNOkk1s2YkwuhpFA The radiance line tops my favorite list of trait lines for guardians. I used the radiance line throughout leveling and then some. While I continue to try out different trait builds, I’m consistently thinking about going back to full radiance and so I wanted to create a build around radiance that I could play with from time to time in WvW. Let me know what you think and if you’d change anything around. I think that covers everything I’ve been working on and/or thinking about lately in regards to my guardian. If you have any questions or see where I could potentially fill a gap, please let me know. Cheers!
