I needed to make a thread for this - have you ever had a "derp" worthy moment? Well share them here!
To make a long story short, tonight my mom came home with a clear bottle and a coupon stuck inside. She told me that she had to find a way to get the coupon out - maybe a tweezers or something.
I took the bottle from her, wondering why she couldn't just tip it up-side-down and shake it out. So I flip it down, and proceed to shake it violently ... moments later white sand exploded out. :3

Hmm i cant think of any recent derp moments. But for yours i have this picture of you in my head were you have this complex look on your face when she told you that then you run over there and start shaking the bottle like a little kid that just got a new puppy.

well i guess this could be one.
I tried to go fishing last sunday. I have reels know as baitcaster's and they have a guide on them to guide the line of the spool for a nice smooth cast. well when i get to my marina that i like to fish at wind was whipping atleast 20 mph gusts. And it was probably like 30 degrees out. so i make a few casts and everything was fine no bites tho =(. then i tried making some long casts and i wasn't getting the distance i usually get and i was using a heavier bait to so i should have been throwing even farther. so i try adjusting my settings still nothing i was like wtf and started to get pissed. i then look down and my reel to find that i had ice shooting out of my guide. cause when my line is wet and i cast the line rubs the guide and sprays water so it was instantly freezing -___-

i tripped iver a bean bag and face planted in the bathroom.. is that a derp? Or how about this.. for the 4th time I deleted my focus last night.

I work at Walmart and a customer made a comment to me "did you know that your stereo case is open" I looked at them and chuckled, I walked over there and slid the one piece of glass over. "Hmmm I must have lost it" I replied. "Can I help you find it in the case" asked the customer.... *facepalm*
