Hey i was thinking of buying a gaming mic for when i play online games, and i was wondering if you guys had mics or if you encourage discourage or what not.

We definitely encourage it. We're looking into getting a vent/mumble account so that we'll be able to talk during the game. As far as the Mic's go I'd personally recommend logitech or razer (work at best buy). Both are great companies. We'll post as soon as we have a vent/mumble to work with as well.

Most of us do have mics. You could probably find it useful, especially for more fast paced games.

Yup i have a gaming mic but it only works for my ps3 =( so iwould have to get another

Keep in mind that any headset with a mic will probably be sufficient.
You pay for the name when you buy a 'gamer' mic. I typically prefer to get my mics on the cheaper side, as I have a tendency to run over them with my chair....

I was basically thinking of a 20 dollar usb one so i could also use it on my PS3.

ya the one i have is made for the ps3 only no way to plug it into the computer so i will be doing the samething and getting a 20 dollar usb one

actually found a 20 dollar ps3 headset that runs off of a usb port. My computer said it was made by microsoft though when the drivers installed. works though.
