I just wanted to let everybody know that the Guild Deep Cave has no permissions on it. This is not done by choice, but rather becuase ANet has not provided guild leaders with a way to adjust Deep Cave permissions.
This means a couple of things:
-anybody can dump stuff into the Deep Cave, even brand new members -anybody can take stuff out of the Deep Cave, even brand new members
What should you take away from this?
The deep cave is going to become a "trash can" of sorts. Got a bunch of useless stuff you don't want, but don't feel like vendoring? Go ahead and toss it in here.
My logic behind this philosophy is that it lets the Deep Cave sort of become like a testing-ground for new members who will eventually gain access to the Treasure Trove. If it is found that they cannot control themselves while having access to Guild Space, corrective actions will be taken.
Anyway, I mostly put this here so people could talk about it rather than making a sticky, un-respondable post in the announcement pannel.

Interesting. Didn't know that security oddity with Deep Caves. I would hope that ANet would "fix" that, but anyway...Thanks.

Here's hoping they do fix that permission issue. It's probably on a long list of to-do's

Amendment:
This entire post is false. The permissions to the Deep Cave are tied to the Treasure Trove.

which means I was semi right about it in the first place =D. Originally it was supposed to add directly into the treasure trove, looks like it more or less still does.
