I've leveling Tailoring, Jewcrafting, and halfway through chefing(cooking?) with these guides. They are super helpful.

Is it really THAT beneficial to do the crafting. I understand it's there for us to do, but I have been selling my mats since level 1 (am level 53 now) and have over 5g to my name. Would I get that kind of return had I crafted since day 1?

you can level through crafting. The gold to be made is not much but you can gain 10 levels per craft that you max out.. You could be 70 right now if you bought the matts to max cooking and artificer. Which is not very expensive at all.

I may give the cooking a try 1.5g and 1000karma won't set me back that much. Haven't looked at artificing yet...you really think it will get me to close to 70 if i do that cooking?

see! and THAT is why we do it ;p I leveled my engineer the other day from 35 to 65 on one crafting experience booster by doing artificing to 375 cooking to 400 and jewelcrafting to 375. for all of that and her 2 training manuals and new gear/runes it cost me like 10g. artificing and jewelcrafting are nice bc you get a lot of the money you spend back after you sell the stuff.

Yeah now all that's left is trying to determine what is the most cost efficient product to sell and make some coin.

Couldn't you salvage the items to help get some of the mats back or is it better to sell them?
