The East Coast is going to be nailed by a pretty massive storm in the next couple of days. I know Rae and I live pretty far in-land, but we have still been hit pretty hard by Hurricane's in the past. Large portions of our County lost power for almost a week when Hurricane Isabel hit us in... 2006? Dates are hard to remember. But yeah, if for some reason you don't see myself, Raelin, Shira, or even General online, it's because we are all living in the dark ages and will be back online soon.

Living as I do just south of Baltimore, we're smack in the middle of most of the projected tracks.
I'm hoping this one turns out to be more hype than harm. Nevertheless, I finally broke down and bought a generator. Losing power for a total of 8 days in the last year and having to dump the contents of my fridge & freezer twice really torqued me off. Plus, my wife & I have sleep apnea, so our CPAPs are pretty much neccessities.

I'm hoping it's all hype as well. Getting hit by big storms is a pain in the rear.
First you lose power. Then you take cold showers. Then you can't check your email or play video games and you have to use candles when you go to the bathroom and then once you finally get power back, you have to clean up from the storm.
Blargh.

Stay safe up there guys. Hurricane Sandy made it rain seafoam like snow in North Carolina. I was watching the updates last night and I've never seen anything like this one. It looks crazy intense!

Central NJ here, storm already knocked out power for people relatively close, so gonna be without that soon most likely, hopefully everyone who NEEDS power(for medical reasons) near me has plans/has left.

Okay, so from what I can see the storm has pretty much passed my area with the exception of a drizzle and a few clouds and we're all okay aside from the power being out, so how is everyone else faring?

Pretty solid down here. We were south of the worst of it. It was just some rain and wind gusts of 50+ mph. I still have power and it's partly sunny outside.

When I do get power back I expect to hear about how everyone's hurricane went and how what the Halloween Party was like. Glad to hear your safe please continue to be so. See you in approximately a week.
Stupid phone cut me off as I was typing.
